I’m not from the area and, whilst spending the weekend in Thorne visiting family, was recommended to try the fish and chips at Chips and Things. I don’t often write reviews but WOW! The cod was so soft and obviously fresh. The batter was equally soft and delicious. It was all cooked freshly whilst we waited and the staff were welcoming and friendly. Portion size was also tops. My cod and chips really were up there with the best I’ve ever had, and I don’t say that lightly. My next visit to Thorne will now certainly incorporate a repeat visit. Thanks and Congratulations!

Don't think I have ever had a problem in all the years me and my mum have been here. The food is beaut. Definitely worth the money. Definitely recommend. Lovely family that runs it. Can't ask for a better place. They would go above and beyond for there customers. Definitely a long overdue review xx

Been going for years, even after months of not going its amazing to see the food quality has not changed, brilliant every time, Lydia and Neil run an amazing local business and go above and beyond. They even delivered an order on their home after closing after i ordered late by mistake.....you cannot ask for better service, a true corner stone of the community! Had one of the best fish n chips today at Moorends Chips n Things. All cooked fresh. Ps I did ask for chips well done and glad I did. Was really crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. Top notch 👌

Used this place for years. Always brilliant quality food & fair priced. The owners and staff are friendly and easy to deal with. Always found brilliant person centred service. Cannot ask for better locally owned and operated chippy. I say person centred as my 1 singular issue was a forgotten breadbun and can of pop. I rang the shop, said hi its Callum, Lydia the shop owner immediately said i know its here im so sorry the driver is fetching it straight round. What better service can you ask for!! Missing things were delivered within 3 mins, even sent an extra pop!
